Dr. Patricia Yugueros
Dr. Yugueros is currently practicing Plastic Surgery at Luna Plastic Surgery. She earned her medical degree in Cali, Colombia. She then completed her General Surgery residency as well as her Plastic and Reconstructive surgery training at the prestigious Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Yugueros specializes in Abdominoplasty, Breast Augmentation, Mastopexy, Liposuction, Breast Reduction and Reconstruction, Buttock Augmentation, Facelift, and Blepharoplasty. She is currently the Chief of Plastic Surgery at EJCH and has been for the past nine years.
Dr. Yugueros is a Diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a member of many local and national scientific societies, including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Yugueros has presented her academic work in several national and international venues and has written extensively and contributed to many journal articles and book chapters in the field of plastic surgery, as well as hand and microvascular reconstructive surgery. Dr. Yugueros has also been the recipient of prestigious awards by the American College of Surgeons and the Plastic Surgery Educational Foundation (PSEF) from the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
Dr. Yugueros enjoys the full spectrum of aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery, with a special interest in breast surgery, body contouring including abdominoplasty, buttock enhancement with fat transfer, and liposuction. She applies the latest innovative techniques for facial surgery including midface rejuvenation, face and neck lift, and rejuvenation of the hands.
Dr. Yugueros is married to Dr. Juan Sarmiento, a hepatobiliary surgeon with a teaching appointment at the Department of Surgery of Emory University. She also has two lovely daughters. As a native of the Latin culture, Dr. Yugueros is one of the few Hispanic plastic surgeons in Atlanta and is fluent in both English and Spanish.
Wanda A Shull, RN, BSN, CNOR
Wanda is a graduate of Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She brings to Luna Plastic Surgery more than 25 years of experience as an operating room nurse with Board Certification as a PeriOperative Nurse. She is a member of the Association of PeriOperative Nurses, Association of Ophthalmological OR Nurses and Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society. Teaching is her passion and she feels that education is the key to a great surgical outcome. She looks forward to partnering with each and every patient to achieve optimum results. She has lived in Johns Creek for over 14 years with her husband and two children.
Wendy Colson – Office Manager
As the Practice Manager, Wendy oversees the day-to-day operations in the office as well as surgery scheduling, new patient consultations, and can answer your billing and insurance questions. Wendy has extensive experience in all areas of the practice and is always available with a friendly smile to help you through the surgical process. Her commitment to our practice and patients is unparalleled. Wendy lives in Cumming, she has a 9 year old son and a 22 year old daughter in college.
Vicky Arevalo – Patient Coordinator
Vicky joins the Luna Plastic Surgery team with 8 years of hands on experience in the health sector as medical assistant and office administrator of an OBGYN clinic. When you call our office she will gladly help you set up any appointments or provide you with any information you request regarding our services both in English and Spanish, as she is fluent in both languages. As our patient coordinator, she loves to interact with new and interesting people everyday and enjoys the satisfaction and rewarding feeling of helping people. Vicky is happily married and is a mother of two boys. She enjoys traveling, music and spending time with her family and friends.
Tina Peeler – Aesthetician
Tina, a graduate from Lanier Technical College, is an Aesthetician. She has worked at a national laser center for 3 years where she became certified in several different lasers. In addition to Laser Hair Removal, Vein treatments, and hyperpigmentation removal, Tina also offers services including facials, chemical peels, and microdermabrasion. She is dedicated to helping patients look and feel their best. Tina has 3 boys and spends most of her spare time at the park watching her boys play baseball, football & basketball.
Katherine Kellum, Certified Surgical Assistant
Katherine is a graduate of Georgia Medical Institute and Meridian Institute of Surgical First Assisting. She has worked in surgery for 16 years and truly enjoys helping patients reach their desired end results. 3 of those years were spent with Dr. Yugueros as her surgical tech and then as her assistant. Kat enjoys working beside and learning from Dr. Yugueros and is dedicated to helping her patients to receive beautiful results. Kat has one wonderful son and loves spending her time playing tennis with him and watching him grow.
Janet Wix, Permanent Make-Up Artist
Janet Wix has been doing permanent makeup and paramedical micropigmentation for over 10 years in Georgia and is renowned for her creative and artistic touch. She is a Board Member of the Georgia Micropigmentation and Permanent Makeup Association, a member of the Society of Permanent Makeup Professionals and the American Academy of Micropigmentation. Janet has been part of Executive Corporate life for 34 years; and, in tandem, she has been involved in the beauty industry for 33 years. This combination of corporate life and artistic beauty experience affords her the ability to provide leading edge technology with the most advanced digital equipment and techniques which result in precise micropigmentation implantation providing maximum results. Janet is “detail” focused and has a natural eye for beauty. Janet has completed extensive training for paramedical micropigmentation and permanent makeup including eyeliner, eyebrow, lips, areola restoration, scar and hair replacement camouflage.
Patricia Tamayo, Lymphatic Massage Therapist
Patricia is our Lymphatic Massage Therapist. Lymphatic Massage is required on most of our surgeries. It helps drain the excess fluid through the lymph channels, decreases swelling, improves circulation, softens scar tissue, and helps the healing process overall. She has been a massage therapist for the past several years and has been working in the medical field for over 11 years. She has a warm and inviting demeanor that makes our patients feel very relaxed and comforted. She is originally from Colombia and speaks Spanish and English. She enjoys traveling, the natural outdoors, and dancing. She is married to her husband for the past 3 years.
